This walking sightseeing tour is the perfect introduction for any visitor to better understand and appreciate Georgia”s capital city.
The tour starts from Liberty square, which is one of the examples of 19th century development. Stroll down to the Old town by Pushkin street and pass through old fortress ruins dating back to 12-13 centuries. Then we continue our tour, exploring the historic neighbourhood in Tbilisi, Metekhi church and the monument of Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of Tbilisi. Take a cable car ride to Narikala Fortress and enjoy the amazing view of the city and witness the monument of the Mother of Georgia.It stands on the hill and is a brilliant chance to enjoy beautiful views of the city from the top.Explore the fortress and then walk down to Sulphur Bathhouse area, an important historic part of the city. Take a walk through The sharden area, full of narrow streets, with cosy cafes, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops and breathe in the living past. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica,famous Rezo Gabriadze theatre, walk the Bridge of Peace- they say that you haven’t been to Tbilisi, if you haven’t crossed this bridge.Enjoy a wine-tasting at one of the wine bars located on Meidan square.
